A ride to Munsiyari.... Photo-log

    Hi Team,

    My name is Abhinav, came across this forum while searching for Spiti rides and came across Vargis's blogs and the forum.
    It s great to connect with similar minded travel enthusiasts.

    below is my recent ride-log to Munsiyari, would love to share, photo-log i would say ... :)


    It was in to-do bucket list for quite some time.

    it was only a 4 day ride, however still we were able to cover few places enroute.


    Summary of the ride and the route-taken

    First day, we started from Gurgaon early in the morning at around 4.30am and reached almora
    by 2:30 pm. Stayed at KMVN Jageshwar.
    2nd day, visited the temple and started our journey further towards Munsiyari. (we started at 12pm!)
    reached Muniyari by 8 pm.
    3rd day, visited the Nanda devi temple and started the journey back, this time taken the Shama route.
    and stayed in Binsar KMVN.
    4th day, Visited the Binsar forest and rode till KMVN binsar and started the journey back by arounf 12
    and reached home at around 11:30 pm.

    Hi Abhinav Bhai - Welcome to the forum brother. Munsiyari has been on my list as well for quite a while now. How was the place overall?

    The place/route is worth all the efforts, especially if you are riding. Still off the radar of usual travellers and bikers!!
    A must go

    The Temple is Jageshwar, it is one of the 12 Jyotrilingas.

    How is the road from Delhi to Munsiyari Abhinav?

    Roads are good per mountain standards...rough patches in last 30 kms near kalamuni top
