First of all big thanks to Vargis Khan for his help to many travelers. Now, to my question.

We are group of 4, planning to do Chandigarh - Shimla-Spiti-Kunzum Pass-Manali-Chandigarh in April 2018, on bikes. We'll have 15 days in hand.

Question 1 -> Will Kunzum Pass be accessible in April?
Question 2-> Are hotels/home stays in remote areas open in April? Do we need to book these in advance?

And, any suggestions on remote/off-track places on above circuit is welcome.

    Hello Mr. Atre

Thank you so much for your kind words, I really appreciate it. Coming to your questions,

    1. No, Kunzum Pass opens by early June.
    2. Which part of April are you traveling in? And what all places do you intend breaking your journey at? Let me know and I can tell you if there will be hotels available there during that time or not. To be honest, by April you should easily find a place to stay between Shimla to Kaza.

    Thank you Vargis.

    Thanks for information on Kunzum.

I have two weeks in hand, will be reaching Chandigarh on April 28 and leaving from Chandigarh on May 13.

These are major places we wanted to cover chander taal, Spiti Valley, Pin Valley, Dhankar Lake, Key, Kaza, Chitkul.

Please let us know if above places are accessible for the period of our travel, also if we have missed any interesting place.

    You are welcome Mr. Atre.

All the places you mentioned will be open in April with the exception of Chandratal. That route will only open in June after Kunzum Pass opens. Rest all you can visit in April.
