Below is a road map of Ladakh. The map covers a very large region due to which you will have to save it to your hard disk and zoom in to be able to read it.

Since Toyota Etios has ground clearance of 175mm. Can I complete the Circuit with Etios?

    5 29-May-18 Manali rest

    Hello Satya Bhai,

Yes you can definitely completely the circuit in your Etios but since you are traveling in the start of the season, I would strongly recommend going slow and carefully, specially around water crossings which can be a lot in number due to melting snow.

    As per your itinerary,

1 25-May-18 Mumbai to Ajmer - VERY Long drive but good if you think you can drive for that long. Will easily take about 15-16 hours though
2 26-May-18 Ajmer to Chandigarth - Long drive again, about 11 - 12 hours but doable
3 27-May-18 Chandigarth to Kullu - Why Kullu? Why not go straight to Manali and save one day? There is nothing in Kullu really. Manali is just about 2 hours from Kullu, two hours tops.
    4 28-May-18 Kullu to Manali
5 29-May-18 Manali rest - Use this day to arrange Rohtang permits.
6 30-May-18 Manali to Bharatpur - Why Bharatpur? There is nothing here except for a few chadar tents. Stop at Jispa rather
    7 31-May-18 Bharatpur to Leh
    8 1-Jun-18 Leh Rest
9 2-Jun-18 Leh to Nubra Valley
10 3-Jun-18 Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake
11 4-Jun-18 Pangong Lake to Leh
    12 5-Jun-18
    13 6-Jun-18 Leh to Dras
    14 7-Jun-18 Dras to Srinagar
    15 8-Jun-18 Srinagar Rest
16 9-Jun-18 Srinagar To Kurukshetra - Extremely long drive once again. Better to halt at either Jammu or Pathankot on this day
    17 10-Jun-18 Kurukshetra to Vrindavan
    18 11-Jun-18 Vrindavan to Agra
    19 12-Jun-18 Agra to Indore
    20 13-Jun-18 Indore to Mumbai
    21 14-Jun-18
    22 15-Jun-18

    5 29-May-18 Manali to Jispa

    Hi Vargis,

    Hope you are doing well.

I really appreciate your quick response and guidance as well.

I will definitely follow your plan. As it seems better than mine.

Since I am planning such a long trip for the first time and this is a dream tour for me and my family as everyone's. I would like to ask you for few more suggestions from you, which I should take care about during my trip.

    Few more queries-
    1. My 1.5yrs old daughter is also traveling with me, I hope it should be fine to take her with us.

    2. Do I need to take any extra care for ladies who are traveling with us.

    3. Can I visit Kurukshetra according to your given plan.

As I have 1 day extra in my hand, I will definitely take rest in between of long drives.

    Thanks for your valuable suggestions.

    Have a great day ahead.

    Regards,
    Satya.

    Hello Satya Bhai,

You are most welcome. As for your questions,

    1. Take a look at the post below please. I have covered the topic of traveling to Ladakh with Children / Infants here.

    http://vargiskhan.com/log/traveling-to-ladakh-with-children/

    2. If you are asking in terms of safety, then yes it is totally fine. In all my years of blogging, I have come to know several women who traveled to Ladakh all alone. I would here however recommend not staying at Pang. Accommodaiton there is in form of tents / camps and washroom is a big problem. Do not halt there and go straight from Jispa to Leh but ensure that you get an early morning start because the journey can be long.

    3. Since you have a few days to spare, why not do Srinagar to Pathankot and Pathankot to Kurukshetra? Break the journey in 2 days, it will be much better this way.
