Driving around in spiti valley, in ladakh, and srinagar

  1. What about driving a rented car for foreigners (french people) in these places?
We've already driven in countries where they drive on the left.
And we've already driven in high altitude (we have driven in Argentina Andes over 4000m over sea level .)
We're planning this trip for july or august 2018.
    Thanks for your answer.

You can rent a car from Shimla and drive around in Spiti however Ladakh is a problem. They do not allow any taxi in there unless it has been rented from Ladakh itself.
  3. It won’t be a taxi. It’s a car we’re going to rent from Delhi. My husband is going to be the driver.
If it is not possible to drive in Ladakh, a rented car taken from elsewhere, do you know whether there are rental agencies in Leh?

Yes, unfortunately that is still a problem. Any car rented outside of Ladakh can only be used to reach Leh. For sightseeing and visitng areas like Pangong and Nubra valley, you will have to rent another taxi from Leh.
