    Dear Vargis

I hope this email finds you well.

I read your detailed itinerary and it's very very helpful. Thank you for mentioning all the little details.

I would like to request you to please have a look at our tentative itinerary below and suggest/advice to make necessary changes. Would be a GREAT help :)

We are 4 people traveling from
Ahmedabad, Gujarat to Chandigarh (by flight)

Day1 Chandigarh >kasol (by road) -overnight stay at kasol

Day2 leave kasol by 10AM > Jispi or keylong (we are confused a little here, please suggest if a better option. Planning to stay overnight)

Day3 Jispi/Keylong> leave early morning for Leh. Overnight stay at leh. (Request you to please suggest an ideal accommodation)

Day4 Leh: explore city (incase we don't wasn't to cover each and every monastery, which all places shall we NOT to miss on? )

Day5 Leh > Nubra Valley. (We are planning to leave by early morning and stay overnight. )

Day6 ** do you suggest we should stay Nivea for one more day here?

Day7 Nubra to Pangong. (Is it advisable to reach to pangong directly from nubra through chang la? According to you this will take how much travel time) planning to take tents for overnight at Pangong.

    Day8 Pangong to Leh

    Return flight: Ladakh to Ahmedabad.

We can extend for 2-3 days more. Please do suggest what more can we include? Tso Moriri shall we consider?

Also, I wanted to check on two things:

We are hiring taxi from Chandigarh to Kasol. Shall we extend till we reach leh? Or change taxi from kasol to leh? And internal travel taxi (To Ladakh>Nubra>Pangong>ladakh) do we need to book from leh? (Please do suggest if there's anyone I can get in touch with for pre booking)

Our traveling dates are 28th June 2017 to 8th July. Return ticket yet to book, so thought of taking a suggestion from you.

Hope to hear from you. BIG thank you once again in advance.

    Regards
    Basuri

    Hello Basuri,

I am glad that my blog was helpful. Coming to your questions,

    1. Stay at Jispa, much better place than Keylong.
    2. Are you looking for a budget accommodation? Take a look at this article.

    http://vargiskhan.com/log/good-budget-hotels-in-leh-with-tariff/

3.Cover Shanti Stoopa and Leh palace, that is kind of a must visit.
4.If you can afford than do stay for additional day at Nubra. Stay one day in Diskit and another at Panamik.
5.You cannot do Nubra to Pangong via Chang La in a day. You will have to take either Agham Shyok road or Wari La route.
6.If you can afford 3 more days then yes, add 2 days for a visit to Tso Moriri and a day's drive on Srinagar Leh highway to see Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Patthar Sahib and Indus-Zanskar river confluence. If you can reach Lamayuru, there are a couple of places there to see as well.
6.Better to rent one taxi from Chandigarh to Leh and then hire a local taxi there. Contact Sonam Angdus at 9469272773 for taxi in Leh. Let him know you got his number from me and he will treat you well.

    One last Question,

Our travelling dates are from 28th June to 8th July and weather forecast shows it might rain on 30th and 3rd-4th-5th July.
Is there possibilities of heavy rain or it occasionally showers in summer sometimes?

Please do suggest if there anything specific we should take care about during these dates or reconsider camping etc?

    Thanks in advance.

If there is rain, it would only be around Manali. Ladakh is in rain shadow area so it rarely rains there. For self camping, I recommend that you read through the following post.
