    Hi Vargis

I am following your writing on spiti and Ladakh and these are great !
I need a suggestion, I would like to plan a family trip to either spiti or Zanskar - Leh in August. The date are fixed 3rd -14th Aug. I can not change the duration. Now I have two option
    1. Spiti - the itenary will be something like below- Chandigarh - Narkanda(1night) - Sangla/chitkul/kalpa-(2 nights)- Nako(1 night)- PinValley(1 night)- Kaza(2 days) - chandrataal(1 night)- Manali(2night)- Chandigarh.
    And 2. Ladakh : Srinagar(1night)- Kargil(1 night)- Rangdum(1 night)- padum (3 nights)- Kargil(1night)- Leh(1night)- Pangong (1night )-Leh(2nights) ( I have visited Leh earlier)

I would like to know which of these two will be good in first half of august? And if the itinerary looks ok. If its Zanskar and Leh then what are the permits we need for the entire trip?

    Hi TMR,

If you have been to Ladakh before then I will highly recommend visiting Spiti this time. Follow plan 1

It is just the Kaza Manali stretch that will be a nightmare ... rest will be fine
