    Hi
We are now in peo and we plan to trek around in nako (tashigang), tabo and dhankar... then we would like to continue to kaza and manali. So do you know if the kunzum pass is open ? Apparently the road To manali seems To be open again... Do you know when the road to manali will be definitly closed ? And if we cant go to manali do you know when the road back to shimla will be closed ? And last question ;) do you know if the called "homestay trail" from langza to dhankar is still possible to do ??
Basically how many days can de still have to join manali or shimla ??
    Thanks a lot.

Tonio - As far as I know, Manali to Kaza is closed already but since you are in Peo, asking the locals there will provide better ground info. Shimla road never closes unless there is really heavy snowfall on the way somewhere. I am not really sure about the homestay trail.

Hi vargis thx for your answer.
I just arrived today in manali from kaza the road is still open (probably not for long...) but only for cars and vans. So we took a share taxi (van) for 1000 ruppies. Concerning the homestay trail we made on the lasts 4 days and it was an incredible experience. We had no problem to find homestays in all the villages we visited (you can sleep in nearly every house). And to conclude what i can say is that spiti aera is definitly a fucking amazing place

Thanks for providing the details Toni. May I ask, what all villages did you stay at during the home-stay trail?

Yeah we left from kaza to hikkim then Komic where we spent the first night. Then we went to demul but we missed the shortcut so we had a fat 20km walk that day ... Finally happy to arrive in demul we slept there. The third day we went to lalung only staying a couple of hours and gone straight to dhankar for an amazing last night in a hudge spot... The last day we went down from dhankar to the main road back to kaza by hitch hiking... And as we couldnt have seats to manali before 2 days we hired a bike the last day from kaza and had a motored trip to ki kibber and langza... We really enjoyed those five days and will keep an unforgetable memory of this trek... I hope i answered your question. Thx for your site and see you one day somewhere
