    Hello to all.
First of all I would like to thank Mr. Vargis Khan all for this nice platform to discuss. It is very informative, helpful and distinguish too.
I have a plan to see Lahaul Spiti in 2018 as per below itinerary.
    Shimla - Sarahan - Sangla - Kalpa - Tabo - Kaza - Chandratal (night stay) - Keylong - Manali - Amritsar.
I have vacation opportunity from around 21st June to 3rd July (13 days).
My query is - (1) Is it good time to visit Lahaul Spiti? (2) Whether Kaza to Manali road will open after 25th June? (3) If you have any better option or way, pls advice.

Hello Mr. Mallick - Welcome to RoadRagas and thank you for your kind words.

Yes the time is OK and you will be able to complete the circuit. Kaza to Manali road opens sometime by 10th June. How are you planning to travel?

    Hello Mr. Mallick,

Better to plan it this way.

    22-June: Shimla to Sarahan (stay).
23-June: Sarahan to Chitkul (stay). (Chitkul is a much better and more scenic place to stay than Sangla)
    24-June: Chitkul to Kalpa (stay).
25-June: Kalpa to Nako (stay). (Nako is a better stay than Tabo in terms of location and vistas)
    26-June: Nako to Kaza (stay).
27-June: Kaza to Chandratal lake (night stay in camp near Chandratal lake).
    28-June: Chandratal to Keylong (stay).
29-June: Keylong to Baralacha La to Jispa (stay). (On this day, come back only to Jispa and stay there, either at the hotel or the camp site next to the river)
    30-June: Jispa to Manali (stay).
01-July: Manali to Amritsar (Night service AC Volvo Bus).
02-July: Amritsar to Delhi (Night Train).
    03:July: Delhi to Kolkata flight.

    Many many thanks Mr. Khan.

We will definitely follow your advice. Precisely I also think staying at Jispa river side camp will be more exciting than Keylong.
My team is very small (Myself, my wife and my son (9 years). We will like to hire a car from Shimla, up to Manali for 9 days. We have some more queries stated below.

    1. We want to book car in advance from Shimla to Manali as per above itinerary. Please aware us about the tentative cost of hired car (Sedan or SUV) from Shimla. Also if you can advice some good travel agencies to contact for booking.
    2. Kindly advice some good hotel/homestay info (with phone no.) w.r.t. the above itinerary. We normally prefer the good location, nature view, positive environment rather than star accomodations.
    3. Also requesting you to advise the Camp booking info at Chandratal and Jispa.
    4. Please advise weather night service bus (HRTC AC Volvo) from Manali to Amritsar is comfortable to avail.
We shall be very much grateful for your kind help & support. Thank you once again for your guidance.

    Regards..
    :)

    You are welcome Mr. Mallick,

I would advise getting in touch with Jamaica at 09418200183. He is a local in Spiti, runs a hotel in Kaza, camp site at Chandratal and in winter, a hotel in Goa. Talk to him, give my reference and he will be able to help you with taxi, stay at Kaza and camping at Chandratal.
For hotels at other places on the route, please take a look at these posts. I have listed a few here.
