Hi Vargis, I am also planning my trip to Lahaul Spiti circuit from 15th Sept to 24th Sept. Would it be raining at the time?? just a thought

Also quick question, i am planning my itinerary on exactly the same lines as presented by you on the block. Just wanted to know if you would recommend that i extend my stay at some of the places for more than one night. For eg maybe 2 days at Kaza or an extra day at Chitkul

and one last thought : You recommend staying at Kalpa - would i be able to see the apple orchards and Kinnar Kailash in the morning while traveling to Nako?

    Thanks once again

Hi Vargis, I also had another question on hotel stay. Can you suggest a few hotels at Narkanda and at Sarahan??. Also is it better to stay at Sarahan to Rampur??

I am following your itinerary as it is, and i saw your recommended stays in all the places except Narkanda and Sarahan

Joydeb Bhai stunning captures? Which camera do you have?

Also, would you mind posting these in the Travelogues section? I am afraid that these may get buried here in the itinerary section.

    Hi Mayank,

    1. If you have time then yes, defnitely stay for a day at Chitkul and Kaza. There isn't much to do at Chitkul though except to enjoy the natural beauty. If you are into trekking then you can trek towards Rani Kanda.
    2. No you will not see Kinner Kailash unless you climb up a bit towards Peo and Kalpa. The full view is only after you reach Kalpa.

Mayank Bhai at Narkanda look for a hotel called Himalayan Inn, its good. At Sarahan I don't really have a place to recommend but just take a look around. Also, the road to Sarahan as of now is broken. You will have to continue a little after Jeori and then you will see a dirt road climbing up. This is the temporary road to Sarahan as of now and is in extremely bad condition.

There is a board there after Jeori but you will have to keep an eye out. Just to be on a safer side, once you reach Jeori, drop your speed down a bit. The dirt road to Sarahan will be towards your right. I must warn you though that it is in bad condition. However after about 7 to 8 kilometers, it will merge in the main tarmac road.

    Many thanks Vargis Bhai.
    I have Nikon D5200 with 18-55 & 70-300 lens.
Sure, I will post the same in Travelogue section. Actually I am writing a short trip experience. After completion I will post.

Rightly said Vargis Bhai. Road is very narrow (sometimes you need to reverse back your car for suitable turn to provide pass for incoming vehicle) and road condition also very bad. Vehicle speed limited to 10-20 km/hour.
Also nothing is there in Sarahan except nice view of Shrikhand peak. HPTDC hotel Shrikhand is nice place to stay at Sarahan.

Thanks Vargis for the prompt reply. I will check out the stay at Narkanda. Since i am following your itinerary as it is. After i spend my Night at Narkanda , my next stop would be Sarahan , where i would need to bunk in for the night. Am i correct ???. could you recommend a place at sarahan or if i should stay at Rampur , A hotel at rampur maybe??

Also since you have just come back from Spiti , would you suggest any change in your itinerary? . or could i follow it verbatim?

No change required Mayank Bhai. you can follow the itinerary as is. It won't take you long to reach Sarahan though, about 3-4 hours so if you want to skip it and continue straight to Chitkul, you could do that as well. Stay at Sarhan is recommended only if you have time to spare and want to take the journey slow.
