    9th day Kishtwar

It is doable but keep at least 2 days as buffer because public transport in the region is not that frequent. Nothing to do in Batal though. You can go directly to Keylong from Chandratal.

In that case no point going to kaza on day 2 it will be like 10 hours journey . So Manali to kaza on day 2 you'll go there and just take rest and morning you'll start to chandratal. So either skip kaza or stay one day in kaza . As varghis bhai said there is nothing in kaza .
Make day 2 Manali to kaza and make some local market sight seeing. Day 3 make kaza local. Day 4 make stay at chandratal night . Day 5 chandratal to keylong.

And rest remains same. Better keep 2-3 days spare as public transport is not a relaible source in Manali kaza road.

I knew that to go to Kaza one has to cross Kunzum pass. I want to cover that pass only. Am I wrong ?[IMG] or I don't need to go to Kaza to cover that pass, is it on the way to Chandratal from Manali ? If so then I will drop Kaza from my plan.

Another question: Is there direct public transport available from Keylong to Chandratal ?

Kunzum is just 1 hr from batal and 2 hrs from kaza. Yes to reach kaza from batal you need to cross kunzumm. You need to hire a seperate cab for the Manali kaza side or get innsome group and travel with them. There is no issue with keylong to rest of road.
