    Hi Vargas,
Thanks for your response to my query on Hanle. I have never been to Ladakh earlier. I am visiting Ladakh with a group between 16-24. 24 the group departs from Leh. I intend to stay back for four five days more. I am keen on night sky and landscape.
Could you suggest some locations where I could do homestays and get some star trail photography?

    Hi Santanu,

Sorry about the thread earlier. There was some junk post made as well by a spam bot that I was trying to delete and accidentally deleted your thread as well along with it.

Entire Ladakh is actually a great place for night photography. Hanle is better in terms that more stars are visible there with that huge telescope; with a DSLR it hardly is any different. Pangong, Moriri, Pang, Nubra valley are all great for catching start trails. All you need to do is to find a good spot here to leave your camera safely.

    Vargisji,

What lense you use? I saw your star trails at Chandrataal lake. What setting you have used here?

    Hello guys,

Don't know if this is the right place to ask this. How is the weather right now in Ladakh? I'm planning to spend two or three days in hanle to watch the upcoming lunar eclipse. What is the chance of cloud cover that day?

    Thanks, himanth

Hi Himanth - Hard to predict right now brother but nights as of now are mostly all clear and you should be able to view the eclipse.

I spoke to my contact in Leh last night. It is all clear there, no rain and no clouds either. "Garmi ho rahi hai" is what he said :)

You are all set brother. Have a fun trip and don't forget to share some pictures. I will wait.
