Hi, read your post, seems you have some really good info about NH505.
I want to go to Kullu Manali to Kaza, and plan to use the NH505. Is the condition still very bad?
Do I have to go from Shimla to Kaza?

Hello - When are you planning to go? Manali Kaza road will not open until May end.

dam it. looks like I will miss out on the key monastery.
I cant go there from the other side?
    I am going in Feb.

    Another question.
During Feb. Is Kullu Manali all filled with snow?
I want to access Solang Valley and Parashar Lake. Is it going to be crowded in feb? or deep in snow?

No you will not miss out the monastery. You can go from Shimla to Kaza. Key Monastery is hardly 10-15 minutes from Kaza town.

There is no snow anywhere at all this year. Entire Himalayan region is running dry, thanks to all the global warming.

Also, on nh505, when there is no snow, how do people travel on it?

    Car? Small car? Bike?

It always shows closed in winters, that is just a google map error. There is all kinds of transport available, cars, small cars, bus, bikes, tempo travelers, shared taxis
