    Hi Vargis,
First of all you are doing a great job with this blog. Its really helpful. So big thumbs up from myside.:)

I am also planning to visit leh in July 2018. My husband and I shall be traveling alone so need your advice/guidance about the stays and mode of transport best preferred.
Also at nubra, pangong should we prefer homestays/tents over Hotels ?

    Is it advisable to use public transport(Bus/Shared taxi) for travel to Leh-Nubra-Leh and Leh-Pangong-Leh and if yes, from where can I get the details of the same;
or hire a private taxi and if yes, do you have any references there ? Is there a need for some local guide/travel agent ?

We have made 3 possible itinerary, please suggest the best possible.
Day 1 and Day 7 are fixed(tickets already booked to and from Leh), for other days you can suggest any rescheduling to accommodate another place/point.

Day 1 : Arrival at Leh.
Day 2 : Travel from Leh to Nubra Valley.
Day 3 : Travel Back to Leh
Day 4 : Travel from Leh to Pangong Tso.
Day 5 : Travel back to Leh
Day 6 : Leisure at Leh
Day 7 : Leave for Delhi

    Day 3 : Day at Nubra(multiple villages).

Day 6 : Travel Back to Leh.
Day 7 : Leave for Delhi

If we do not get the permits for the above places online, is it a time consuming and tedious task to get them on the spot.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi Nidhi - I replied to your comment on the blog. Did you get a chance to review the 7 days article that I pinged you the link of?

Hiring a private taxi will be the most convenient way but may cost you a bit. For covering places you mentioned, it will cost you about Rs. 25000 to Rs. 30000. If that is OK than I must definitely recommend hiring a private cab. If not, renting a motorcycle will then be a better and cost effective way of the trip.
