8 days in Leh Ladakh

Hi Vargis,
I have been to Leh previously but couldn't explore much as we had spent most of our time travelling on the road as we had come from Mumbai to Chandigarh in train and rom chandigarh it was all in the car and people along with me were not kind of backpackers and after a tiring 5 days in leh wanted to return back so could only exoplore local monasteries, Pangong and Magnetic hill.
This time I plan to explore most of the places and I am going to take a straight flight from Mumbai and spend 8-9 days in Leh and then go to himachal for a week and return to Mumbai from Delhi.
While Himachal isn't a major concern as I've been there multiple times so I already have in mind what I'm going to do for a week.
My major concern is how to make the most of my 8 days in Leh. I want to go to Pangong, Nubra, Tso-Moriri and if there are any other worth visiting places. I may not come back again so I wanna make the most of this trip and I'm okay to spend an extra day if its worth it. I will be arriving in July end and my flight would land around 6 am in the morning, so I have the entire first day also with me.
Please help me with an itinerary so my trip this time becomes a memorable one.

Hi Divyakumar - How will you be traveling in Ladakh locally after you land there? Rent a bike I assume?

I wish I could rent a bike, but no we are a group of 5-6 and we would be renting an Innova or Ertiga.

For 8 - 9 days, travel like this


1 - Arrive in Leh, rest and arrange permits
2. Leh to Diskit
3. Diskit to Turtuk
4. Turtuk to Panamik
5. Panamik to Pangong via Shyok
6. Pangong to Hanle
7. Hanle to Karzok (Tso Moriri)
8. Tso Moriri to Leh via Tso Kar
9. Fly Out

Since you have already covered the areas around Leh city, follow the plan above and you would have seen majority of what is there to see in Ladakh

Above itinerary will be fine if we planned to visit from April 13 to April 21? Please provide the details about the accommodation in these places? Please suggest some standard/budget hotels in these area for Family? Also any contact details for transportation for these places?
