Accomodations near pangong after 15 sep 2018

Hi Vargis,

I read about the court order article on ur portal stating shut down of illegal structures at pangong... I vl b reaching leh on 15th sep and was planning 20th night on pangong...if there is no accomodation at pangong ,are there any homestay options nearby or enroute pangong hanle that v gals can opt for as next day i.e 21 st the plan was to carry on for hanle from pangong itself.. please help

Hi Ritu - There are guest houses and option of home stay in the villages of Spangmik, Man and Merak. But considering the huge tourist crowd and limited options, you may not find a place to stay.

Plan 2 itineraries. One where you get an accommodation at Pangong and another where you make a trip to Pangong a day's affair, returning to Leh by evening.

As of now, it is a court order. How many camp sites comply and how many remain; and what will be the exact situation is something no one can tell right now.
