Hello Vargis,

I have been reading your Blogs from long time and they all are very great and helpful. I am sure you will be helpful for me at this time also. I have been planning my trip after marriage to leh/ladhakh with my upcoming wife :) . Our marriage will be on 31st Oct. 2020 and I am planning to depart from Chandigarh on 2nd Nov. We are planning for Bike ride and I read your Blog on "leh/ladhakh in November". The cons are much more than the pros. Can you please suggest some ideas on how we should make our trip more memorable or any better route option you have except the shimla-kaza-manali route. Please help me as I am already running very late.

Thank you :)

You cannot go to Ladakh right now Rajat Bhai. It is all closed due to COVID and Chinese incursions. Even if you reach Leh, you will not be allowed to go anywhere else. The same is the story with Spiti as well. It is closed for tourists until March next year. The only place I can suggest right now is Kashmir.

You can plan like this

Day 1 - Reach Srinagar and drive straight to Gulmarg
Day 2 - Spend the day in Gulmarg
Day 3 - Gulmarg to Pahalgam
Day 4 - Spend the day in Pahalgam. Drive back to Srinagar by evening.
Day 5 - Spend the morning sightseeing in Srinagar. Book a noon or late afternoon flight back to Delhi.

Hello Mr Vargis Khan!
We were interacting sometime back and you had suggested an itinerary for our Ladakh trip from Goa in 2018.

At the age of 65, I drove from Goa alone with my wife covering Zanskar, Batalik, Turtuk, Panamik, Pongong Tso and Tso Moriri covering about 8000 kilometers in May!

I have written a book on the same journey and is due for printing.
I wanted your review on the same plus wanted to request you to write a foreword if possible. I would liike to include the same in the book before it is printed!

Could yo please forward your mail id on [email protected]?
